Meet Your Teacher!

Hi, I'm Dylan Lyons, a Legal English Tutor and IELTS Specialist, from Ireland.
I have a passion for helping legal professionals excel through English. With a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) and several Teaching qualifications, I bring a unique blend of legal language expertise and teaching experience to my students.


My journey began in business management, where I spent two years honing my professional skills before transitioning to teach English overseas.

My teaching career has taken me across South East Asia and Europe, both in classrooms and online. Upon returning to my native Ireland, I saw a distinct need in the international legal community for specialised English instruction and as a result, founded the LegalEase Academy.

LegalEase Academy was born out of my realization that many lawyers and law students struggle with legal English, despite being highly articulate in their native languages. I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to master English legal terminology and communication nuances, even for native speakers! This understanding drove me to create a platform tailored specifically for legal professionals who need expert tuition but face obstacles such as time constraints and limited access to resources.

My goal is to empower lawyers and law students to achieve fluency that opens doors to top international positions. Through LegalEase Academy's digital courses, I provide flexible, high-quality learning opportunities designed to fit even the busiest of schedules.

How are the courses structured? 

The courses are designed to be flexible and user-friendly, with a range of multimedia resources including video lessons, interactive exercises, and practical case studies. Are there any requirements to sign-up?

This platform uses the CEFR standard (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). This framework is widely recognised as the benchmark for evaluating a person’s language competency on a global scale.

We have courses suited to many different levels of ability (B1,B2 etc.). Please check the description of each course to see the recommended level.

What if I am struggling with the material?
